Parkside students donated 187 pounds of Halloween candy - what a great effort! Maple Lake Elementary donated the most in the Wright County, but Parkside was also near the top. All together almost 2,000 pounds of candy was collected! Part of the candy collected will be sent to the troops overseas and large portion of the candy will be used by People Serving People to distribute among family-focused homeless shelters in our area. Allina Health will be donating $2,000 dollars to the food shelfs in Wright County – all thanks to your efforts!
On Thursday, Nov. 12 PES students will have 2 opportunities to help set a Guinness World Record for the most people speed stacking in one day. For the past 3 years, our students have been part of setting past world records and are anxious to help with the 2015 record of 610,000 stackers.
